SAM Sustainable Asset Management (UK) SAM is an investment group focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing. The firm’s offering comprises asset management, indexes and private equity. Its asset management capabilities include a range of single-theme, multi-theme and core sustainability investment strategies catering to institutional asset owners and financial intermediaries in Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Through its index activities, SAM has partnered with Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX Limited for the publication and licensing of the globally recognized Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) as well as customized sustainability benchmarks. Furthermore, SAM is the center of expertise for cleantech private equity within Robeco. Gulf Capital (United Arab Emirates) UAE based investment firm focusing on emerging investment opportunities in the Gulf region and Europe. Gulf Capital operates from its headquarter in Dubai, UAE, but its investment range is very broad, recently the company had invested in public listed and private companies. Similar to other UAE based investment firms, they have especially strong interest in infrastructure, and has invested in renewable energy related infrastructure projects such as Wind Farms, or power plants. One North East (UK) One North East is the Regional Development Agency (RDA) for North East England. It is one of nine RDAs in England that were established to transform the English regions through sustainable economic development. One North East's vision is a vibrant, self reliant, ambitious and outward looking region promoting the benefits of living, working and doing business in the North East England, it provides different assistances including funding and business supports, its key focus has include: Renewable energy, offshore wind and low carbon technologies; development of electric vehicles; process industries; and printable electronics. The first 2 (renewable energy & offshore wind) have been its primary focus at moment, we have known a number of companies for instance with technologies that can enhance energy storage for wind power; also improve wind power efficiency able to attract incentives from this agency.
